MATSE Trainee wanted for the 1st September 2017
We have been offering the apprenticeship programme 'Mathematical-Technical Software Developer' (MATSE) in cooperation with the Center for Computing and Communication of RWTH Aachen since 2009. This three-year training covers mainly mathematics and computer sciences. The final examination board is the Aachen Chamber of Commerce.
Because this is a combined study and work placement a vocational collage class programme (Berufsschulunterricht) is not required. You can complete your Bachelor of Science degree in 'Scientific Programming' at the FH Aachen (Jülich) after three years.
The topic for your Bachelor thesis will be developed in collaboration with MACD and of course we will support and help you with the preparation.
After successfully completing your Bachelor studies and the MATSE apprenticeship we will enable you - if suitable - to take part in a part-time Master program. Whilst you are studying you can continue to work part-time at MACD.
What awaits you at MACD?
Respectful and open communication is a matter of course. The work of each individual is valued. We see it as a strength when errors or problems are addressed openly and solutions are sought out together. You will benefit from flat hierarchies, short distances and a motivating working atmosphere. Our doors are always open! Teamwork, pair programming and agile working methods are part of everyday work practices.
As a MATSE you will be an integral part of our development team. You will get to know how a 'Software as a Service Provider' operates in the field of securities trading and provides a complete package to banks and exchanges - from development to hosting and support. You will learn a great deal about the complicated requirements of financial markets.
As part of your daily work you will take part in the development process and have the possibility to contribute your ideas. We offer you the opportunity to participate on client projects, so you can directly put your theoretical knowledge to practice.
Our MATSE trainers Jasmin Hannemann and Daniel Wegner work as IT developers in various projects. Both are available for your questions or problems and reserve regular times for you to support you professionally and personally.
